Mixing comedy and tragedy is a risky business - the one can be made to seem cold, the other ridiculous. But ‘Opera Can Be Murder’, showed how it can be done. They achieved the rare feat of both moving their audience emotionally and having them roar with laughter, often within the space of a few minutes.
