A rib-tickling romp through everyone’s comic opera favourites, featuring hilarious hairdressers, subversive servants, duplicate lovers and amorous aristocracy! Laughs and surprises from Mozart, Rossini, Bernstein and more.
Most extracts are sung in English, including popular 'pot-boilers' and something really unusual for the buffs. MC and mezzo Kirsty Young introduces who’s singing what, when, and most importantly, why!
